This month we’ll hear from Jonathan Walker from Walker Honey Farm in Rogers, TX. Jonathan will give a brief overview of beekeeping and talk about the importance of bees to the environment. He will also discuss how human activity is affecting the bee population locally and around the world, and what we can do minimize our impact on these precious pollinators! Walker Honey Farm, a family-owned business since 1930, offers one of the largest varieties of honey and honey related products. Their products can be found at their store in Rogers, HEB Grocery Stores & other retail outlets, at local festivals and farmers markets, and online at http://WalkerHoneyFarm.com. Our monthly Science & Sangria meetings will feature speakers who talk about a scientific or environmental topic, followed by a relaxed, informal discussion. The goal is to enable a greater understanding of different topics through exposure to a variety of viewpoints. You don’t need to work in science to attend, just have an appreciation for it and be curious.
